Description Coordination between social cooperatives of social, health, educational and commercial services

Short Summary Social cooperatives are intended to pursue the general interest of the community to human promotion and social integration of citizens through: the management of social, health and educational services, conducting different activities - agricultural, industrial, commercial or services - aimed at providing employment for disadvantaged persons. The statutes of social cooperatives can predict the presence of volunteer members that perform their activities' for free (Art. 2). The main law underlines also that public authority enter into agreements with cooperatives.
The provisions referred to in this act shall apply to consortium set up as a cooperative company with social base formed by not less than seventy percent of social cooperatives (Art. 8).
