Major objectives Nationwide basis of integrated health care planning and Framework Plan for Detailed Regional Planning
Short Summary The Austrian Health Care Structure Plan (ÖSG) of 2012 makes only basic planning statements at the federal level, which means that provinces, hospital managements and social insurance institutions hold comprehensive freedom of decision within the framework of the detailed planning at the regional level (RSG). The integrative approach sets the course for shifts between different sectors (inpatient and/or outpatient areas, rehabilitation and nursing care) in the health care system. Thus, the Austrian Health Care Structure Plan (ÖSG) is also a basis for the implementation and further steps of the health care reform.
