Short Summary The act sets the ways and conditions to carry out the trade activity, and amends the supervision over the implementation of this law.

The law defines the terms like trade activity, trader, wholesale and retile. It determines, the trade activity should be performed in shops. The sales outside the shops, including the itinerant trade, which could be important for the provision of basic goods in remote regions, is also allowed. However, to sell the goods at market stalls, vending machines, or as a mobile vendor (e.g. grocery shop, bakery), the trader is required to obtain a special permission from the owner or the authorised manager of the space or premises, where the trade activity is performed.

As stated by the document, the opening hours of the shops are defined by the traders themselves, according to their business decisions and in consideration with the needs of consumers.

The supervision over the implementation of this law is performed by the market inspection body.
