Description Integration as a concept is often mentioned in the resolution, but it is often more in a sense of integrative care. For example specific goal 6.2. Optimizing health care, calls for »an integrated and comprehensive treatment«. However, the same goal also refers to other sector by recognising that »Improved integration between levels of health services and social protection«. Furthermore the goal 6.1.1 Health in All Policies, calls for inter-sectoral cooperation and coordination, but the main aim is to achieve the highest level of health and well beeing. (»Acceptance and implementation of effective, coordinated inter-ministerial measures, policies and programs to achieve the highest level of health and well-being«) A coordinated funding and implementation agreements for services of social and of medical assistance is also forseen when referring to long-term dependency care.
Major objectives One of the four stated headline targets refers to SSGI, i.e. »accessible, efficient and stable health care system, which effectively adapts to the needs of the population«. Amog specific goals the following shozuld be mentioned: Goal 6.2 Optimizing health care and services, has a specific goal " better links between all levels of health services and social protection"
Short Summary The resolution, subtitled ‘Together for a healthy society', presents the basis for developing health-care activities on individual levels, including education and human resource development, priority tasks (activities and measures) that are planned for a foreseen period, and the bases for the health insurance system. Crucial health and health-care issues in Slovenia are addressed.The resolution presents the basis for developing the health-care system in Slovenia in the next decades and preparing relevant legislation on health insurance, which will preserve high-quality and accessible health-care system. It focuses on users and providers and seeks to (1) strengthen and protect health and prevent disease; (2) optimise health care; (3) improve the effectiveness of the health protection system, (4) provide for just, solidarity-based and sustainable funding of health care. The resolution identifies specific needs and possibilities in the health-care of vulnerable groups of population that have not been concentrated in individual areas for a long time, but are found in rural and urban environments, among youth and the elderly and where there is greater unemployment. In addition to other elements (economic and social status, education, ethnic background, culture, environment), one of the major factors of health inequality is the health-care system (access to high-quality and safe programme for preventing disease, treatment and rehabilitation).
