Description The specific geographic characteristics of Maurienne imposes an important network to facilitate access to services, as well as a coordination between SPM and territorial actors
Major objectives [4/4]
Four objectives are defined in the multi-annual programme action:

- Develop, strengthen and improve services to match local needs, by determining the level at which the services must be organised (communal, inter-communal, supra-territorial)

- Consider short and middle-term solutions in terms of quality, accessibility and efficiency

- Define the re-organization and the pooling of practices to implement

- Foster innovative solutions
Short Summary Several changes in the field of SGI lead local authorities to reflect on their role and the manner in which they develop local SGI adapted to the needs of the territory.
These changes are mainly:
- The concentration of SGI in urban areas
- The liberalization of services and the changes of major operators'strategies (La Poste, EDF, SNCF...)
- The changes in users expectations
- The development of digital tools

Thus the Maurienne faces two major challenges to answer to this changes:
- The territorial equality and cohesion challenge: the specific geographic characteristics of Maurienne imposes an important network to facilitate access to services
- The attractiveness challenge: the territorial development depends on SGI availability

The Schéma de services is the output of an important reflection between SPM and territorial actors, in order to answer these challenges.

The elaboration of the plan has started in 2014 with a diagnosis of existing services in Maurienne and the programme action plan will be implemented in 2016.
