Description The cooperation of economic actors is nessary to develop opportunities and enhance local dynamics
Major objectives [1/4]
4th goal :
Fostering activities development by economic actors cooperation :
The different firms profiles and the nature of activities developed in the last few years require support services and adapted spaces to make their project viable and their activity efficient. Thus, the local authorities have a key role in creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship.
Short Summary Involved since more than 10 years in many forms of collaboration, Alpes Sud Isere local dynamism and initiatives have had a major part in the territory evolution.

Through Alpes Sud Isère CDDRA, Trièves, Matheysine, Pays de Corps, vallées du Valbonnais and Oisans are developing actions in economic, social and environmental fields. As they have a previous cooperation history , the same actors are involved in the LEADER candidacy.

The challenge for Alpes Sud isere is to use this programme to support the development of new economic opportunities based on energy transition and social innovation.

The main focus for Alpes Sud Isère is: “Supporting territory towards new economic development opportunities“.
This focus responds to the regional issue: “territorialisation process of rural economies”.
In deed, there is an important daily mobility due to the gap between the labour force and available jobs as well as not enough redistribution of wealth in the area (because of more consumption in Grenoble urban center). As a result, there is a risk that labour force and firms leave the territory because of the low dynamical and competitive local economy.
Nevertheless, the territory has assets which can be used to enhance local economy by developing a balance between the different drivers of economic development: production, housing and presence.

The focus is split of in 4 strategical goals:
- Enhancing territory through its distinctive assets and improving its visibility/reputation
The territory is not enough attractive to maintain firms and productive capacities.
Despite some implementations of firms developing innovative fabrication processes and recognized in their sector, and firms detaining specific know-how, the territory has trouble making a difference and enhancing these specific resources.
By affirming its characteristics, the territory will be able to have a clear economic positioning necessary to guarantee a long-term implementation of firms and to offer new economic development opportunities.

- Enabling businesses to reach new markets and developing new activities
Apart from agri-food sector, new activities are being developed, they can provide jobs and have a focus on innovation and cooperation. They know how to develop possibilities in a rural area.
Nevertheless, the major parts of the firms are traditional and individual ones, thus the challenge is to help them to reach new markets and to develop innovative solutions.

- Supporting local investment
Local authorities play a key role in this field as they are the first public investor (70% of public investment). To reach new local development opportunities they have to support local investment, in particular, by enhancing the public/private partnership.

- Fostering activities development by economic actors cooperation
The different firms profiles and the nature of activities developed in the last few years require support services and adapted spaces to make their project viable and their activity efficient. Thus, the local authorities have a key role in creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship.
