Short Summary Regional political framework for ecomobility voted 28/3/2013
Région Rhône Alpes wants to encourage the development of a new mobility that reduces harm caused by polluting transport modes to the environment and to the health of its citizens.

This political framework is designed to develop innovative alternatives to the use of private cars by accompanying local initiatives in the field of eco-mobility, such as :
- Encouraging soft mobility plans inside companies
- Organizing local challenges around eco-mobility
- Helping local car-sharing experiments
- Finance diagnoses and consulting about innovative transport modes
- Encourage cross-fertilization between different innovative experiments in eco-mobility
- Develop bicycle tracks.

The policy will be developped in coherence with the regional train transport policy, and will be whenever possible included in other regional policies in the field of : education, environment, health, tourism, economic development, urban planning, policies for the mobility of handicapped people.
