Description The key role of the regional coordination body jointly managed by State and Regional Council and gathering the infra-regional authorities and Caisse des Dépots is important to ensure information sharing and different territorial levels actions coordination. A regional consultative committee for territorial digital planning, under the authority of the prefect will be created in order to coordinate the private and public actors initiatives. It will also assess the commitments taken by each of them, in particular by private electronic operators.

Short Summary The scoran has been elaborated between december 2010 and august 2011, by the PACA region (as project manager), with co-management and co-funding of the State (regional prefecture) and the Caisse des Dépôts.
It starts with a diagnosis of the needs in terms of broadband, a prospective electronic communication offering and a technological and economical scenario, in order to define orientations framework for public authorities. The SCORAN will be the digital part of the SRADDT2.

The access to these digital infrastructures is an issue as much important as the electrification in 20th century.

- Investment intentions from private operators in FTTH field
The FTTH (Fiber To The Home) coverage announced by operators for 2020 in PACA is important for the region but hides large disparities between coastal zone and the north of the region, which will enhance the digital divide.
